Frostivus Treasure 2017

Valve is finally back with Frostivus, along with a new set. With quite a lot of sets in it, looks take a look at some of the best ones.

Purveyor of the First Ways

Arc Warden's second set is probably on par with the Fractured Envoy set, which one you would equip would probably be up to if you blue-red or blue-purple/pink more. I would personally go with the fractured envoy just because I think those elf shoes are a bit odd, but this set aint half bad.

Forgotten Renegade

A very nice looking set considering that it's one of the most common. If you've already invested into a nice looking KotL set, then this is probably a downgrade, but if you don't have a nice set then this is where you would start.

Eye of the Watered Storm

A pretty great tusk set, probably the best there is. The hand cannon and mace just look awesome, and the helmet and red color palette tie it all together. The sigil doesn't look too great, but honestly who cares.

Sign of the NetherFrost

Finally a decent viper set. It's not too great, but not too bad, probably looks pretty nice in game. It would go well with the immortal, and would go extremely well with the crimson witness version, but definitely don't buy this chest in the hopes of an okay viper set.

Icewrack Marauder

Honestly fantastic work by valve on this set. It looks just amazing, and is the best troll set by FAR. If you're a troll warlord main, you want this set. It would combo perfectly with his Bitter Lineage immortal if you had that, too. Second best set in this chest easily.

BitterWing Legacy

And here it is, by far the best set in this chest. Seriously looks like an arcana, a fantastic redo of dragon knight's color palette. Even though the dragon doesn't looks as amazing, this set is perfect in every way. It looks slick and intimidating, while being complex and looking nice. I give this set a 9/10. The reason I'm only giving it a 9 is because of how much potential the dragon form had.

Lets take a look at these rares, the items that we're crossing our fingers for when we're opening our chest that we paid $2.49 for.

Dark Reservoir

This set looks good enough, even if it's kind of just your average Wraith King set. You could easily mix this with other sets for a nice mix set though. At least they didn't turn him into an owl.

Curious Coldspell

Easily the best rare, this one just looks great, definitely the best Puck set out there, even though it could mix great with other Puck items. It's a perfect balance of looking nice, keeping the hero intact, and have a comfy christmassy theme. This is how you do a rare, instead of just turning Puck into an owl.

The Verdict

This was actually a pretty well-made chest by Valve. Most of the commons look pretty nice, and the Puck rare is great, and I wouldn't complain if I got the other two, even though I hate the Owlrider set.

If you're a Dragon Knight main or are just feeling in the spirit of christmas with a lot of cash in your wallets then I would recommend this chest.
